# Technical Architecture

Smashzone combines off-chain and on-chain technologies to offer a smooth, secure, and scalable experience. The goal is to reward only real effort, without the user having to interact directly with the blockchain if they don't want to.

### 🔧 Two Complementary Layers

* **Off-chain (centralized and validated):** Ideal for scalability, performance, and quality control. Manages matches, missions, points, and rankings.
* **On-chain (decentralized and transparent):** Enables token withdrawal and governance. Serves as a bridge between the real and the immutable.
